I stripped the covering off of my Vision 3D to give it some new colors of my own design. While "in the bones" I did a few other minor modifications to the airframe and hinging (Robart Hinge Points).

I covered the plane with Ultracote covering, and painted the cowling & wheel pants with Ultracote paints. I designed all the logos & graphics, and Dave Johnson cut them out of vinyl for me.

My mods made me a little tailheavy, so I had to go back in and add about 6 ounces of lead to the nose to balance.

I'm now balanced at 4.25" back from LE at wingtip, which is about 1" further than Chip's spec. Had I used 2.5" engine standoffs instead of 1/25" standoffs, I may have gotten by with no noseweight added.

At 16.3 pounds she flies very well. Extremely powerful, very stable at all speeds. Outstanding snap rolls and wingtip spins. Waterfalls and slow-rolls are fantastic too.

I think she needs a little more right thrust though, as I believe it would make for easier hovering. Like many planes, it has some things it excels at and others it just doesn't like. All in all, one of the best planes I've had.
